TJ Silverlake is an artist living in Southern California.  He was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota and as a child took a Grapes of Wrath tour, via Oklahoma, to land in the lovely city of Downey, California, a smoggy bedroom suburb of Los Angeles. Surviving Catholic schools he jumped from college to college to UCLA to CalArts, where he received his MFA. Silverlake works with paint, pencils, text, video, 3D software tools, and writes. His art work explores the visions of everyday life, the media, virtual social architecture, and 3D environments—often with an eye to dramatic perceptual experience.

The art work presented here has a real world scale of 42” x 56”.
